I founded Origami Eco in 2019 and it is the result of my ever-evolving journey to be more eco-conscious when it comes to the products I use for personal care and in my home when it comes to cleaning etc. Living an eco-conscious life is not something that happens overnight, instead, it is an awareness of the choices you make when purchasing products - how is this product going to affect me and the earth around me?

My eco-living journey started approximately 20 years ago when my elderly neighbour educated me to start recycling my paper. Next, I was recycling cans, plastic and glass and now I aim to be zero waste if possible, choosing items that have zero plastic packaging or alternatively biodegradable packaging. Another step in my eco-living journey is when a friend introduced me to modern cloth nappies. I am currently cloth diapering my third child and I am very pleased that I have been able to do my part in minimising their carbon footprint by opting out of single-use plastic diapers. I am excited to grow Origami Eco with the goal to educate others to make a decision to purchase an item that makes a positive difference to the world around them.
